Quotes make the world go round

I have just purchased a fabulous book. Most of you will know it. Schott's Food and Drink Miscellany (had to look at the cover to spell that). I love random facts and this has some real gems! And, surprisingly, I am quite partial to the odd morsel and tipple. Who would have guessed?

Anyway, most are fairly irrelevant at the moment but I do like the toast, "No daylight nor heeltaps, gentlemen" meaning there should be no air in the glass and no spillage.

Oh, speaking of food, dinner has arrived. What a joyous moment.
